The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and the Honorary Consul of Indonesia to Estonia inaugurated the launching of the new website of the Honorary Consul and held a meet and greet with Indonesian community and counterparts on December 15, 2017, in Tallinn, Estonia.
The launching of the website was attended by Estonian officials and counterparts as well as representatives of the Indonesian community and Indonesian Student’s Association in Estonia.

On 22 November 2017, the Delegations of Indonesian Creative Economy, City Administration of Semarang and Bandung, along with some of startup entrepreneurs, visited Nokia in Helsinki, Finland. The visit purpose was to seek cooperation to develop Smart City program in Indonesia to upgrade the public service to be more effective and efficient.

On 20-23 November 2017, the Mayor of Surabaya, Mrs. Tri Rismaharini and delegation of Surabaya City Administration attended the Startup Nations Summit (SNS) 2017 held at Tallinn Creative Hub (Tallinna Kultuurikatel), Tallinn, Estonia. The Mayor’s attendance was also to officially announce Surabaya as the host of the next Startup Nations Summit in Indonesia in November 2018, a win after competing with Istanbul as one of the candidate for hosting SNS 2018 in a voting at Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Johannesburg, South Africa, March 2017. The summit gathers and connects policymakers and advisors to explore innovative regulatory changes and policy initiatives to help accelerate new firm formation and entrepreneurial growth around the world.

On October 27, 2017, the Ambassador of Indonesia and a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism visited the Estonian Tourist Board and the company Positium in Tallinn, Estonia. The meeting was also attended by the CEO of Positium, Mr. Erki Saluveer and the Head of Research and Development of Estonian Tourist Board, Mr. Juhan Anupõld. The purpose of the meeting is to finalize a negotiation which was followed by the signing of cooperation contract on ”Quality Assurance Framework and Methodology Concept Development for Mobile Positioning Data”. With this cooperation, Indonesia hopes to better observe the influx of foreign tourists, especially through the border areas of Indonesia which do not have yet immigration checkpoints.
